President’s Message
Fellow
Members:
September 2008
The
Sunday Brunch on August 3rd hosted over 100 Members and Guests. Thank
you to Cathy Irene and the Volunteers who prepared and served the Brunch. The
Indoor Picnic on August 9th was a change of pace and causal evening
for all that attended.
The
Club’s Fund Raiser for the Stuart F.Meyer Hospice House will be on September 6th
and our Hollywood Night Dance will be on September 13th. Purchase
your tickets early for these affairs.
Your
Board has approved a Club Assessment of $20.00 per member. This Assessment is extremely
needed to make repairs and replacements to the Club and to stabilize the Club’s
finances. Support your Club and approve this
Assessment so we can move forward in the upcoming year. This will be voted on
at the General Meeting on September 17th.
The
Bocce Courts remain a problem that needs to be resolved. It will cost between
$6000.00 and $7000.00 to repair the Courts and the Board is not willing to
approve this cost with more important repairs for the Club needed at this time.
A motion was made at the General Meeting to remove the Bocce Courts. We will
get quotes for this and report back to the members. Contact me or any Board
Member with any suggestions in this ongoing problem.
